What's New in CUET UG 2025?

It is the second biggest UG entrance exam in the country. More than 15 lakh students are expected to register and appear in CUET 2025 for merely 3 lakh UG seats, combining all the participating universities. • The exam is divided into three sections - I Languages, II Domain Subjects, and III General Aptitude Test.
• The CUET 2025 exam will be conducted solely online (CBT).
• The duration of all the exams will be uniform in CUET 2025, i.e. 60 minutes.
• There will be 50 questions in the paper across all sections. All the questions will be compulsory.
• Students can select a maximum of 5 subjects. Four domain subjects and one mandatory language or three domain subjects + Language + GAT.
• CUET syllabus will be the complete NCERT class 12 syllabus for respective subjects. However, the number of subjects decreased to 37 from 63 in the previous edition.

What is CUET UG Exam?

CUET (UG) is a national-level entrance exam for admissions to 287 participating universities. The test is a joint initiative of the UGC & MoE to provide a level playing ground to all aspiring UG students. Previously, admission to various prestigious universities was based on class 12 scores. However, the irregular marking schemes and other variables gave undue advantages to students from some particular boards.

The CUET UG exam lets students compete at a standard level and perform their best. Further, the scores of CUET are considered while granting admissions to the UG programs of all the participating universities. The CUET (UG) scores are the sole criteria for admission. The class 12 board marks are only considered if there is a tie between two students' CUET scores who have applied for the same course and college.

The official CUET 2025 notification was released by the NTA on March 1. It is available on the NTA's official website. CUET UG Exam Dates 2025

NTA has officially notified that it will conduct CUET UG between May 8 - June 1. The exam dates (CUET exam datesheet) will be announced later. Meanwhile, students must keep a tab on the official website to learn the subject-wise exam dates when they are released. It is expected to be announced after the CUET registration process finishes.

CUET Registration 2025

The CUET 2025 registration and application process is live and will remain open until March 22, 2025. Students must know the CUET 2025 registration date, complete their registration, fill out the CUET application form, and pay the required fees within the deadline (March 22 and 23, respectively).

For CUET 2025 registration, candidates must follow the following steps:

Step 1: Click the “New Candidate Register Here” button.

Step 2: Download the information bulletin and read it carefully.

Step 3: Fill out the CUET registration 2025 form by providing all the required details and submit it.

Step 4: Validate the details in the preview application section and click “Submit and Send OTP on mobile”.

Step 5: Complete the verification by entering the OTP received on the registered mobile number/email ID.

After completing the registration process, students can log in to their dashboard by entering the login details and fill out the CUET 2025 application form. Filling out the CUET application form is a brief process. Therefore, students must thoroughly read the information bulletin and understand each step to fill out the CUET form seamlessly. Students must cautiously fill in all the details and ensure no mistakes.

Students must complete their CUET 2025 application form on or before March 22 (11:50 PM) and pay the required application fee by March 23 (11:50 PM).

CUET Application Form 2025 Correction Window

Post the last date for CUET 2025 registration, NTA will open a short window (2-3 days) for students to rectify a few basic and common errors that they might have provided wrong or missed while filling out the CUET registration form. The official CUET application form correction window for CUET 2025 is March 24-26.

However, students are advised not to take this opportunity as insurance and commit mistakes during form filling as not all the fields are allowed by the NTA to be modified or corrected during this application form correction window. The official notification for the correction window will be released separately later, including a detailed list of fields students can update during this special window.
