RBI Grade B Officers (Phase II) Exam – 2018 was conducted on September 15th , 2018. The candidates who were shortlisted on the basis of results of Phase-I could appear in this exam. The examination was conducted in two shifts and students were required to appear for both the shifts.
Each question in Paper I and Paper III had five options. An incorrect answer will result in a penalty of ¼ of the marks allotted to the question.
The pattern of the paper was similar to 2017. The surprise element in the paper came from the questions in ESI Section which were more focused on past schemes of the Government (Schemes from the year 1999 and 2000). Very few current event related question was asked. FM was comparatively simpler and more straightforward questions with more weightage to banking related topics.

Section 1 includes passages that were provided to establish the context of the question, though the questions could not be directly answered from the passage. Section 2 questions were straight and quiet factual in nature.

There were only 3 questions in this paper. First question required the candidates to write an essay (40 marks, only 300 words allowed), second question was to write a précis (30 marks, 170 words) and question 3 was reading comprehension (30 marks).
